Our story: Why we started last-minute services llc

As an Infantryman, I learned that discipline, adaptability, and attention to detail can mean the difference between success and failure. In civilian life, I saw how many people face the opposite problem — putting off repairs, projects, or property needs until the last minute. Instead of judging, I built Last-Minute Services LLC around helping people in those moments.

Our motto, “Procrastinate Proudly!”, reflects that approach. Life gets chaotic, and not everyone has the time, tools, or training to handle every repair, cleanup, or project. That’s where we step in — not just as handymen, but as problem-solvers who thrive under pressure. Just like in the infantry, when a situation looks messy or overwhelming, we bring calm, order, and execution.

Veteran-owned. Community-driven.

Being veteran-owned means our business is built on discipline, integrity, and accountability — the same values I carried as an Infantryman. We don’t cut corners, we don’t leave jobs half-finished, and we take pride in doing the work right the first time. Every project is approached with a mission mindset: clear goals, precise execution, and responsibility for the outcome.

Being community-driven means we’re not just working in the Kansas City metro — we’re serving it. Through our #ListenKC initiative, we reinvest time and labor back into the neighborhoods around us, helping families, nonprofits, and individuals who need an extra hand. That connection keeps us grounded and ensures we’re not just another contractor — we’re part of the fabric of Kansas City.

Transparent pricing in action

At Last-Minute Services LLC, we keep pricing simple and upfront — no gimmicks, no hidden fees. Every job starts with a clear trip minimum of $80, and from there, costs are broken down by task, load size, or labor hours depending on the service. For example, if we’re doing a junk haul, the customer sees exactly what one truck bed or trailer load costs before we touch a single item. If it’s a repair, the scope of work and estimated labor are spelled out line by line in the estimate or contract.

We also subtract fees when they don’t apply. For contracted properties under #ListenKC or ongoing service agreements, we waive the trip minimum entirely. That way, customers know they’re paying only for the work performed — not surprise add-ons, not inflated “last-minute” charges.

By putting everything in writing, honoring our estimates, and refusing to tack on emergency or after-hours surcharges, we make sure every client knows exactly what they’re getting and exactly what they’re paying for.
